Samsung is expanding its A series with two upcoming models, the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G. Recent listings on the Google Play Console (via TheTechOutlook) have revealed key details about the Galaxy A55 5G, indicating Samsung’s commitment to enhancing its smartphone lineup.
The Galaxy A55 5G, with model number SM-A556E, is confirmed to feature the Exynos 1480 processor, paired with the Samsung Xclipse 530 GPU. This combination suggests the phone will have substantial processing power. Supporting this, the device is listed with 8GB of RAM and is expected to run on Android 14, although the exact version of Samsung’s OneUI interface remains unspecified.
The smartphone will sport a 6.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080p and a 13:6 aspect ratio, ensuring clear and detailed visuals. The screen density is noted to be 450 DPI, promising sharp image quality.
Design renders from the Google Play Console show a flat frame design, similar to the Galaxy A35 5G, indicating a consistent aesthetic across the A series. The Galaxy A55 5G is also expected to come equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and support 25W fast charging, offering extended usage times.
For photography, the device is rumored to feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens. Additionally, a 32MP front camera is anticipated for high-quality selfies.
With the Galaxy A55 already appearing on TENAA, NBTC, MIIT, FCC, TKDN, and SIRIM, it looks like the brand might announce it globally very soon. Its predecessor, the Galaxy A54 made its debut back in March 2023, so we can expect the A55 to launch around next month.
