POCO India’s lead, Himanshu Tandon, recently made waves on social media by announcing the POCO X6 Neo, indirectly criticizing the Realme 12 5G for its pricing and features.

Tandon’s post pointed out that for Rs 17,000, features like the Dimensity 6100+ SoC and an LCD screen (as seen in some competitors) don’t offer the best value. He points out that POCO’s M6 5G, priced around Rs 10,000, also uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, suggesting that POCO aims to deliver more for less.

The POCO X6 Neo, identified by model number 2312FRAFDI, has already received its Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification, signaling its readiness for the Indian market. A leak has already revealed what this device could look like. Going by the report, it will bear a close resemblance to the Redmi Note 13R Pro smartphone and will be launched at a sub-INR 16,000 price point.
