The Lenovo GeekPro G5000 2024 edition has launched in China, offering gamers a refined version of last year’s model with some performance improvements. It features the Intel Core i7-13650HX processor, which provides a solid performance suitable for gaming and other heavy tasks. As for graphics, it has options for either an RTX 4050 or an RTX 4060.
The laptop has a 15.6-inch FHD screen, offering a 144Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color coverage for clear and vivid visuals. It also supports Nvidia G-Sync to help reduce screen tearing. For connections, it includes USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, along with WiFi 6, providing a good range of options for connecting to the internet and external devices.
One of the standout features of the 2024 GeekPro G5000 is its improved cooling system. Lenovo has designed this new system to keep the laptop cooler during intense gaming sessions, reducing keyboard surface temperature and fan noise. This improvement aims to provide a more comfortable and quieter gaming experience.
Pricing & availability
The laptop is not yet featured on Lenovo’s official store, but Chinese retailers are offering it with an RTX 4050 configuration priced at CNY6299 (approximately $875) and an RTX 4060 variant at CNY6799 (around $944). Global availability details are currently unknown, but it’s worth noting that the previous GeekPro G5000 laptops were released internationally under the IdeaPad Gaming branding.
