The Xiaomi MIJIA Handheld Garment Steamer 2 has gone on sale in China. This is coming on the heels of the launch of a crowdfunding campaign for the product on Xiaomi Youpin last month. The handheld garment steamer supports garment ironing and flat ironing, as well as comes with a built-in visual water tank.

The MIJIA Handheld Garment Steamer 2 has a folding body design with a smaller base and it is more convenient to store or carry. The handheld garment steamer weighs 730g and uses an aluminum die-cast panel coated with ceramic glaze. It has fast thermal conductivity and constant temperature, allowing the user to easily iron fabrics by gently stroking wrinkles. The garment steamer has a secondary vaporization cavity and prevents the buildup of water marks when ironing. The MIJIA Handheld Garment Steamer 2 can handle different types of fabrics such as silk, wool, nylon, fiber, and cotton.
The Xiaomi MIJIA Handheld Garment Steamer 2 adopts a 30kPa boosting technology for the ironing operation without getting the fabric wet. It can complete preheating and release steam within 26 seconds. You can stop the steam delivery by releasing the button with your finger and it supports two-in-one garment ironing and flat ironing. The MIJIA handheld garment steamer is also capable of handling heavy fabrics. The high-temperature steam helps to remove bacteria or termites from your clothes. The sterilization and mite removal rate of the garment steamer is up to 99.99%.
The MIJIA Handheld Garment Steamer 2 has a 160ml visual water tank which can provide steam for up to six shirts when filled to the capacity. The gadget is currently available from retail outlets including JD.com for 119 yuan ($17). There are no global availability details yet for the Xiaomi MIJIA Handheld Garment Steamer 2 at this time.
