Nubia is teasing a ‘Photographer Edition‘ of its flagship Nubia Z60 Ultra which it will launch on March 28. Nubia has confirmed that this spatial edition model will include an AI-based real-time call translation functionality, which the company is keeping high hopes for. Nubia notes “it can instantly become your portable translator.”

A feature similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra

Nubia says that the photography edition of the Z60 Ultra will offer both real-time call translation and face-to-face conversation translation, just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

In addition to the AI-powered translation functions, this phone also includes an AI image model for better computational photography results. This phone also includes an ‘AI Magic Function’ that reportedly aims to understand the story the user is trying to tell with the photo and adjusts the image processing. The teaser also notes another and ‘AI Smart Voice’ feature. Although, the function of the last one isn’t clear at this point. Nobia notes “AI smart voice makes intelligent interaction more worry-free” (machine translation).

The Nubia Z60 Ultra ‘Photography Edition’ comes with the same hardware as the standard Nubia Z60 Ultra that was launched in December last year. Speaking of the optics the Z60 Ultra comes with a triple-camera setup – a 50MP Sony IMX800 main sensor with 35mm focal length, a 50MP OmniVision OV50E wide angle camera, and a 64MP 3x periscope telephoto with a focal length of 85mm.

It was one of the first adopters of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chip and comes with up to 24GB of LPDDR4x RAM paired with 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
