It’s the second day of the three-day Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2023 in Hawaii, and today, Qualcomm has revealed more about its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform for Android flagship smartphones. Specifically, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has achieved performance that is more than 200% better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 unveiled less than 2 years ago.

Today, Qualcomm showcased the shocking performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 through 5 popular benchmarking tools which are respectively Antutu v10 benchmark, Geekbench 6, 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, 3DMark Solar Bay, and AI Mark.

In Antutu benchmark, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 achieved a record-breaking score of 2,139,281, as it is the first chipset officially launched to cross the 2 million mark in Antutu benchmark. For reference, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 devices only scored less than 1 million in Antutu, and our team at Gizmochina compiled a table below to show the performance improvements of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 against its predecessors like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

As seen above, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has achieved a 233 % performance improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in Antutu, making it more than twice as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Moving onto other benchmarks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC scored in Geekbench 6 with a multi-core score of 7501 and a single-core score of 2329. In 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, it scored 5338 on the gaming benchmark test. In 3DMark Solar Bay, the SoC reached a score of 8597, and only ran as hot as 39 degrees Celsius on its 3rd run of Solar Bay. Lastly in AI Mark, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scores 240,147 points, ranking first in the benchmark, beating all the other 99% of devices in the smartphone industry.

It is clear that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has achieved remarkable record-breaking performance, and that upcoming Android flagships sporting the chip will be amongst the best in the industry with smooth and fast performance.
