Motorola has begun updating its Moto G84 5G smartphones in India to Android 14 OS. The device made its debut last year with Android 13-based My UX onboard, so this is its first major update. The new software, version UTC34.22-64-6, is 1.85GB in size and includes the latest security patch from February 2024.
The update brings several new features focused on privacy and accessibility. Users can now choose which photos and videos apps can access, get alerts about apps sharing their location, and receive notifications if an unknown tracker is detected. These changes aim to give users more control over their personal information.
For better accessibility, the update includes a new feature that makes the phone flash for incoming notifications and improves options for magnifying content on the screen. It also introduces a centralized place for managing health data.
This Android 14 update for the Moto G84 5G is part of Motorola’s broader plan to update many of its smartphones, including the Razr 40 Ultra and several models from the Edge and Moto G series. You can check out the complete list here.
