Realme 12x 5G will be available for purchase for the first time in India today. It is the brand’s third phone in the 12-series lineup, following the Realme 12 5G and 12+ 5G. Compared to last year’s Realme 11x 5G, the 12x 5G comes with several upgrades, and it also carries a lower price tag than the previous generation. To recall, the Realme 11x 5G was made available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB storage options for Rs 14,999 (~$180) and Rs 15,999 (~$190), respectively. For comparison, 12x costs Rs 13,499 (~$160) and Rs 14,999 (~$180) for the same variants. In addition, there’s a 4GB+128GB, which is priced at Rs 11,999, respectively. Customers can make use of SBI, ICICI, and HDFC bank cards to get a Rs 1,000 instant discount. In addition, the 6 GB RAM variant will have Rs 500 additional discount. It can be purchased through the Realme India website, Flipkart, and offline stores.

The Realme 12x 5G (hands-on) is the only phone in its price segment to offer 45W fast charging. According to the brand, it takes only 30 minutes for the phone to go from 1 to 50 percent with the in-box 45W charger.
3. Software features
The Realme 12x 5G comes equipped with the Air Gestures feature, which was introduced in Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G. It allows users to control the phone with gestures. It runs on Realme UI 5-based Android 14. And its promised to get two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
2. Brighter Display
The Realme 11x 5G and the Realme 12x 5G have the same-sized 6.72-inch FHD+ 90Hz IPS LCD panel. However, the 12x’s screen offers a peak brightness of 950 nits, which means users will not face viewing issues under sunlight.

With dual speakers onboard, the Realme 12x 5G offers stereo output while binge-watching or gaming. To recall, the 11x only came with a single speaker.
In addition to the above features, the 12x offers a Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset with VC cooling, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, a 5,000mAh battery, and a rainwater smart touch feature, which means its display can be used with wet hands. For photography, it has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system on the back.
