Did you ever think we’d be able to order a whole PlayStation and it would be at our doorstep in 10 minutes? Even though this sounds absurd and downright convenient, Indian delivery service Blinkit is leaning into it. The CEO’s latest post on social media platform X announces that customers can now order a PlayStation 5 Slim (both the disc and digital versions), plus their controllers in India from their Blinkit account, and get it delivered to them in 10 minutes. Mind you, this console, at the time of launch wasn’t available anywhere due to scalpers and low stocks. Now we’re reaching the point where the console is accessible and priced justifiably. Blinkit, an Indian quick-commerce service focused on super fast deliveries, promises to get you your groceries and daily essentials in minutes so you can focus on more important things. They leverage technology and a wide partner network to achieve same-day deliveries, aiming to become a leading e-retail player in India. The company went online in December 2013, and since then, it has gained popularity through their “quick delivery” model that is available throughout the day (and even night in some big cities).
For those who’ve been on the cusp regarding the PlayStation 5 Slim, this might be the golden sign you were looking for. The PlayStation 5 Slim is Sony’s most capable console to date, with the only difference from the OG PS5 being storage space. The console boasts a super-fast SSD for significantly reduced loading times compared to previous consoles. As we mentioned, trade-off is limited storage space, so you might need to expand it with an M.2 SSD or an external drive (though the external drive won’t offer the same speed boost). The PS5 Slim also packs a powerful CPU, RAM, and custom GPU for high-resolution gaming with ray tracing for more realistic lighting effects.
As of now, only customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru can order PlayStations and controllers on Blinkit. At the moment, the company has said nothing about expanding to other cities, but that might happen soon. Stay tuned to Gizmochina for future coverage.
