The highly-anticipated Google Pixel 8a isn’t just renders and promotional posters anymore. Leaked images from TechDroider on the X platform offer a look at the upcoming Google Pixel 8a, showing a design refresh. The biggest change is the back panel, which ditches the glossy finish of the Pixel 7a in favor of a more modern matte design.

The leaked images resemble the image accidentally shown in the Google Fi ad

The bezels surrounding the display also appear slimmer compared to previous models, giving the phone an overall sleeker and a more modern look. It’s important to note that these leaked images haven’t been confirmed by Google, but they do align with previous accidental reveals of the Pixel 8a in Google Fi ads.

Rumored specs for the Pixel 8a include a Tensor G3 chipset, a 6.1-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, and a rear camera system comprised of a 64-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor, similar to its predecessor. With the official launch expected soon, these leaks provide a pretty good idea of what Google has in store for the mid-range Pixel phone market. Stay tuned to Gizmochina for future coverage on the Pixel 8a’s (hopefully soon) launch.
