Motorola is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone from its Edge 50 lineup soon. This device is expected to be a premium grade model dubbed the Edge 50 Ultra. But ahead of any official announcement, it was spotted on the GeekBench platform flexing some beefy specs. So let’s have a look.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra visits GeekBench with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

The brand’s upcoming Edge 50 Ultra surfaced on the GeekBench platform with top-notch hardware. It is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which is coupled with 12GB of RAM. This processor also comes with an Adreno 735 GPU. Thanks to these specs, it managed to score 1947 points in the single-core test, and 5149 points in the multi-core test.

The popular benchmarking platform also lists the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra running on Android 14 OS out of the box. Earlier this month, the design of the Edge 50 Ultra was teased in a video, showcasing a curved edge display. Based on what we know so far, the Edge 50 Ultra is expected to be the rebranded Moto X50 Ultra, which is set to launch in China soon. The latter is officially confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

To recall, the X50 Ultra is expected to sport a tall 6.7-inch pOLED display that offers 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The rear packs a 50-megapixel triple camera setup. Under the hood, a 4,500mAh battery pack may power this device, which supports 125W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
