Xiaomi 14 Ultra Among First Phones to Support 5.5G
For those unfamiliar, 5.5G is a significant upgrade to 5G. It offers benefits like dramatically faster download speeds, reduced latency, and the ability to connect many more devices. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra now supports 5.5G after a recent beta update (version 1.0.9.0.UNACNXM, 527 MB).
In China Mobile’s tests, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra achieved a download speed of up to 5 Gbps with 5.5G technology, making it one of the fastest speeds seen on a mobile connection to date. The company plans to expand its 5.5G network to cover over 300 cities by the end of this year. It is expected to have more than 20 million 5.5G subscribers by 2025.
