Casio has launched a new limited-edition watch, the ‘Back to G-SHOCK’ G-5600BG-1, as part of its Earth Day celebration and to honor its anniversary on April 12.
The G-5600BG-1 is crafted using recycled resin, aligning with G-SHOCK’s initiative to minimize environmental impact. The watch includes resin scraps from previous Casio productions. It maintains the brand’s standard for durability and design while promoting recycling efforts. Each unit features a unique, colorful pattern, distinguishing every watch as one-of-a-kind.
Equipped with Tough Solar technology, the G-5600BG-1 converts any light source into power, sustaining its charge efficiently. It also includes features such as shock resistance, 200 meters of water resistance, alarms, timers, and a fully automatic calendar, making it a robust option for everyday use.
The eco-conscious approach extends to the packaging, which is made from environmentally friendly materials.
Pricing & availability
The Casio G-5600BG-1 will be sold for a price tag of $199. In India, the watch will be sold for Rs 9,995. This watch will be available exclusively in Casio & G-SHOCK stores starting at the end of April 2024.
