LG Electronics has updated its Smart TV series, including OLED and QNED models, to support Apple Music with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, making them the first TVs to incorporate this feature.
Users can now access the Apple Music library, featuring over 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists without ads, along with exclusive live content and interviews.
Starting this week, LG is offering a three-month free trial of Apple Music available on compatible Smart TVs from 2018 onwards that run webOS 4.0 or higher. This includes unique models like the StanbyME, StanbyME Go, and MyView Smart Monitor.
The integration of Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos on these TVs improves the sound quality significantly. When connected to compatible LG soundbars, the TVs automatically deliver music in high-quality surround sound.
TVs not directly compatible with Dolby Atmos can still provide the Spatial Audio experience when linked to a compatible Dolby Atmos LG soundbar. LG has ensured that several of its soundbar models from 2022 to 2024, including the latest SxxTR and SxxTY series, are compatible with this feature.
