Sennheiser today unveiled the freshest member of the HD 600 series, the HD 620S headphone. It offers a compelling take on closed headphones for private, reference listening without compromise. It provides the perfect balance of hi-fi sound and isolation in the closed headphones category. Let’s take a look at the details about the new headphones.

The HD 620S boasts custom-tuned 42mm dynamic transducers. They produce a “reference-grade sound” and offer an immersive audio experience. The HD 620S equips an ultra-light 150-ohm aluminum voice coil, that offers better clarity and accurate audio representation. It effectively enables a punchy and dynamic sound throughout the entire frequency spectrum.

The chassis is lightweight and is designed keeping prolonged usage in mind. Sennheiser claims that the HD 620S is designed to be worn comfortably for long hours without experiencing fatigue. It not only feels good to the touch but is also designed to manage internal reflections. The HD 620S is inspired by the design of the HD 600 and 500 series of premium headphones. This wearable offers steel-reinforced headband sliders, spacious ear cup covers, and ear pads created from artificial leather.

It comes with a 1.8 meter-long detachable cable with a 3.5 mm plug. You also get a 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter in the package that lets you connect to more audio devices and a storage pouch for them.

The HD 620S is currently available for pre-order on the company’s official website for $349.95 and will start shipping on June 6. Reportedly, the company will also start selling an optional ultra-long 4.4mm cable later this summer.

However, if you prefer more compact and wireless earbuds instead, you can check out the recently launched Sennheiser ACCENTUM TWS earbuds, that offer hybrid ANC and is priced at $199.99.
