We’ve been hearing rumors of foldable iPhones for years now. The idea of an Apple phone that transforms into a mini-tablet seems futuristic and undeniably cool. But when it’ll actually happen is anyone’s guess.
But there’s a new glimmer of hope. A recent leak suggests Samsung and Apple have reportedly struck a deal on Samsung supplying displays for Apple’s foldable devices.
It’s not clear yet if this deal covers the display for a hybrid device or just for a foldable iPhone, or maybe both.

Samsung Display already supplies screens for iPhones and MacBooks. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Apple continues this partnership for foldable devices. Especially since Samsung is already a leader in foldable phones.
As for the design of the foldable iPhone, that’s still up in the air. Some rumors say it might have a clamshell design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Others suggest it could have a larger, fold-out display like a tablet. Apple’s patents hint at different possibilities, but nothing’s confirmed.

But remember, these are all just rumors. Apple itself has been tight-lipped about any foldable device. While Samsung and others already have foldable phones out, Apple might be taking it slow, making sure the tech is perfect before jumping in.
And it’s not just about iPhones. There’s talk that Apple might focus on a foldable iPad with a big display, maybe even over 20 inches. That could make it a top-tier productivity tool, mixing tablet and laptop features.
Without any official word and with rumors flying around, we can’t say for sure when a foldable iPhone or iPad will show up. Apple might surprise us, but for now, it’s mostly speculation.
