Ubisoft has announced the release date for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows – November 15, 2024. The game will be available across major platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Apple Silicon Macs.
The game is set in Japan, and players can customize multiple aspects of the game
The official PlayStation Weibo account also unveiled the game’s world premiere trailer, hinting at an epic historical adventure set in Japan. Players will embody two distinct allies – a deadly ninja assassin and a powerful warrior – as they forge a common destiny. The game promises a blend of action and stealth, allowing players to master different combat styles, customize their ninja hideout, and shape the course of history.
Ubisoft promises a vast open world teeming with life. Expect diverse landscapes that transform through the seasons, from bustling port cities and tranquil shrines to sprawling castle towns and scenic countrysides. Reports suggest the game utilizes an upgraded Anvil Pipeline engine, enhancing animations, the parkour system, and dynamic weather effects. This engine is also rumored to support advanced visual features like ray tracing and global illumination.
Beyond stealth and combat, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows offers base-building elements. Players can construct their own hideouts, complete with armories for weapon storage, dojos for honing combat skills, churches (function unclear), and other functional structures.
