The Redmi Note 13 series in China has four models namely, the Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, and the R-Pro. Now, the Xiaomi sub-brand has quietly introduced a new model in the lineup. The Redmi Note 13R is a toned-down variant of the Note 13R Pro. It arrives as the successor to last year’s Note 12R but only with a few differences. Read on to know what the device offers out of the box. 

Redmi Note 13R specifications and features 

The Redmi Note 13R retains the same 6.79-inch LCD display bearing an FHD+ resolution and 550 nits peak brightness. However, the refresh rate gets upgraded to 120Hz from 90Hz and it is adaptive. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. 

The optics on the Redmi Note 13R are the same as its predecessor. There is a 50MP main sensor coupled with a 2MP macro lens. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie camera compared to 5MP on the Note 12R.

The Redmi Note 13R has the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It packs up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Note 12R maxes out at 8GB + 256GB. The smartphone draws its power from a slightly larger 5,030mAh battery unit with support for 33W faster charging. Software-wise, it ships with HyperOS-based Android 14 OS out of the box. 

The Redmi Note 13R is offered in Silver, Midnight Black, and Ice Crystal Blue colours. It starts at CNY 1,399 yuan (~$193) for the base 6GB + 128GB variant. The top-end 12GB + 512GB configuration carries a price tag of CNY 2,199 (~$USD 304).
