BenQ recently launched the W5800 projector in India. Now the projector is available globally through BenQ directly or via third-party retailers. In some European countries, the model is available for pre-order through selected retailers.

BenQ W5800 Specifications:
BenQ W5800 features a 4K UHD resolution (3840×2160), ensuring sharp and detailed images on screens as large as 200 inches. The projector employs a laser array light source that delivers an impressive brightness of 2,600 lumens, making it suitable for various lighting conditions. This high brightness, combined with 100% DCI-P3 color space and BenQ’s HDR-PRO technology, results in vivid and accurate color reproduction.
The projector covers 100% Rec.709 with Delta E<1 and grayscale tracking Delta E<2, ensuring that the projector delivers true Hollywood colors out of the box. The ISFccc certification further enhances image and color performance customization, providing preset day and night modes for optimal viewing in different lighting conditions.
The projector’s advanced color temperature tuning offers 11 levels of white balance controls, enabling fine adjustments for the most accurate mid-tone colors. The W5800 also supports 24P playback, displaying movies at 24 frames per second without judder, preserving the purity of the original image.
The optical system of the W5800 features a 14-element, 7-group all-glass lens that minimizes color differences and enhances 4K image clarity. The projector’s Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE) algorithm enhances image depth by adjusting gamma independently across 1,000+ zones.
The W5800’s connectivity options include dual HDMI 2.0b ports, two USB Type-A ports, SPDIF, and eARC, allowing for seamless integration with various entertainment systems, including 7.1 channel and Dolby Atmos audio setups. The projector’s 1.6x motorized zoom and 2D lens shift (±50% vertical and ±21% horizontal) facilitate flexible installation and placement without sacrificing image quality.
With a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 and light source life up to 25,000 hours in ECO mode, the W5800 is built for longevity and exceptional performance. Its low-noise multi-channel cooling system ensures quiet operation. The projector’s design includes a patterned lens ring and anti-dust vertical louvers, preventing stray light and dust from affecting performance.
Pricing
The BenQ W5800 4K home theater projector is priced at $5,999 in the United States and AU$8,999 in Australia.
