OPPO unveiled the Reno 12 series smartphones and the Enco Air 4 Pro TWS earphones earlier today in China. At the event, the brand also announced a new color option for the OPPO Pad Air 2. The tablet launched last November and it was offered in Space Grey and Streamer Silver color options. The new color variant packs the same design as specifications as the other two options. The OPPO Pad Air 2 now comes in an Aurora Purple color. It has a subtle Purple shade with a dual-tone finish back panel. There is a circular camera located at the centre on the rear. The newly announced color variant is currently up for pre-booking with sales commencing on May 31. 

The OPPO Pad Air 2 Aurora Purple carries the same price tag as the other two color options i.e. CNY 1,299 for the base 6GB + 128GB, CNY 1,499 for the 8GB + 128GB, and CNY 1,699 for the 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations. However, there is a pre-sale offer that makes the Aurora Purple variant available for CNY 100 less on all variants. 

The OPPO Pad Air 2 features an 11.35-inch display bearing a 2.4K resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits peak brightness. There are quad stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The tablet has an 8MP front and 8MP rear cameras. Internally, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.2 out of the box. The OPPO Pad Air 2 is backed by a 8,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
