Apple‘s mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro, is setting its sights on a global launch this July, according to sources familiar with the matter. Here’s a closer look:
The sales of Vision Pro have stabilized, and even decreased since the launch
This news comes after interest in the Vision Pro softened in the US market. Apple is hoping a July release in international markets, likely sometime in the third or fourth week, will reignite consumer interest. An official launch date might even be revealed during Apple’s WWDC keynote on June 10th. This global launch comes later than some analysts predicted, with Guo Mingchi expecting a release before WWDC.

Hints of the global launch are already appearing in some Apple Stores. For instance, UK stores have received a large shipment of sofas, presumably for Vision Pro demonstrations, although staff are currently restricted from opening the boxes. Additionally, Apple Stores are revamping their Avenues areas to better display Vision Pro accessories, suggesting a visual refresh planned for July.
The high price tag of $3,500 remains a potential barrier to adoption for the headset, and Apple has yet to announce pricing for international markets. There’s still a chance that the WWDC keynote might shed light on this.
The path to launch in China seems clear as the Vision Pro has passed the country’s 3C certification.
Leaks suggest that other countries expected to receive the Vision Pro after WWDC include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. With the WWDC just around the corner, we can expect to hear more details about the official launch date and international pricing for the Apple Vision Pro.
