The Audio-Technica ATH-WB LTD wooden headphones have been launched. The limited-edition wooden headphones are made from mahogany, maple, and walnut materials. It is claimed that only 300 units of the ATH-WB LTD wooden headphones are available worldwide. Audio-Technica has an array of impressive audio products including the Sound Burger Bluetooth portable record player and the ATH-S300BT wireless headphones.
The natural woods from which the ATH-WB LTD was produced create a detailed, warm sound tuned for excellent reproduction of string instruments and female voices. The three natural wood types are arranged in three layers for their superior sound output. The headphones are equipped with diamond-like carbon-coated diaphragms that are modified from the ATH-WB2022 wireless wooden headphones. The ATH-WB2022 was unveiled as the 60th-anniversary commemorative model for the Audio-Technica brand. The drivers have a frequency response between 5kHz and 50kHz with a 40 ohms impedance and 104 dB/mW sensitivity.
Greater comfort during usage is provided by the wooden headphones’ sheepskin covering of the headband and earpads. The earcups can swivel flat on the model’s aluminum alloy frame for easy carriage in the included pouch. The ATH-WB LTD headphones can connect to either analog or digital audio inputs. The headphones weigh about 320g and its accented lacquered wood design could catch the fancy of fans of the natural sound delivery.
