Keychron, a leading manufacturer of mechanical keyboards, has announced a new color option for its popular Q1 Max keyboard – the Purple Edition. This premium keyboard boasts a refined design, a stunning purple finish, and a feature set that caters to both casual and enthusiast typists.
The keyboard is priced at 1118 Yuan ($154) and it is now up for sale on JD.com in China. Let’s check out its key specs.

Keychron Q1 Max Specifications:
The Keychron Q1 Max Purple Edition features a CNC-machined aluminum body, available in a captivating purple finish. The keyboard utilizes a 75% layout, providing a compact design while retaining essential function keys for increased productivity.
Q1 Max employs a gasket mount design with a combination of premium acoustic foams. This significantly reduces noise and vibration, resulting in a satisfyingly quiet and thocky typing sound. Additionally, the keyboard comes equipped with hot-swappable switches, allowing users to personalize their typing experience with a wide variety of MX-style mechanical switches without soldering.
Further enhancing the typing experience are the KSA double-shot PBT keycaps, renowned for their exceptional durability and resistance to finger oils. These keycaps are available in two options: classic KSA for standard typing or OSA side-printed for a sleeker look with excellent backlight shine-through.
The Q1 Max caters to both wireless and wired preferences. It boasts a robust 2.4 GHz wireless connection with a 1000 Hz polling rate. For seamless multitasking across devices, the keyboard also offers Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, allowing users to connect to three devices simultaneously. Additionally, a wired connection mode provides a reliable and stable option.
Keychron equips the Q1 Max with a powerful ARM Cortex-M4 processor and 256KB flash memory. This combination enables extensive customization possibilities through QMK/VIA software. Users can remap keys, create macros, and fine-tune the keyboard’s behavior to their specific needs.
Despite its feature-rich design, the Q1 Max boasts an impressive battery life (4000mAh). With the backlight turned off, the keyboard can last up to a staggering 180 hours on a single charge. Even with RGB lighting enabled, users can expect up to 100 hours of usage on the lowest brightness setting.
