The CMF Phone 1 from Nothing is set to launch tomorrow, July 8. Over the past week, the company has been gradually revealing the phone’s specifications. The only missing detail was the price, which has now been disclosed through a Flipkart advertisement.
A mini banner advertisement on YouTube run by Flipkart was spotted by X (formerly Twitter) user @himawanth8, showing the CMF Phone 1 will be priced at Rs. 17,999 in India. But the price could potentially drop to Rs 14,999 after factoring in discounts.
The discounted price likely involves a combination of an exchange bonus and a bank/card discount offer.
This discount strategy is not uncommon. Nothing used a similar approach with the Nothing Phone 2(a) to offer an introductory sale price of Rs. 19,999. The advertisement also suggests that the first sale for CMF Phone 1 will start at 12:00 PM on July 12.
As a reminder, the CMF Phone 1 will pack a Dimensity 7300 processor, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a dual rear camera system (50 MP primary sensor + 2 MP depth sensor).
The phone’s most unique feature is its customizable rear panel. One might remove the back panel and install a new one with the CMF Phone 1. The company has confirmed that the CMF Phone 1 will be available with interchangeable back panels in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Orange. The rear panel also has a dial-like design for attaching accessories like lanyards.

Coming to the display, the device is confirmed to feature a Super AMOLED display. It will be a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 2000 nits of peak brightness.
Looking at the leaked price, the CMF Phone 1 appears to be competitively priced, possibly even undercutting some competitors. It’s likely that additional back covers and attachments, sold separately, will help offset the lower-than-expected phone cost. But for those who aren’t likely to purchase accessories, the CMF Phone 1 could still offer tremendous value.
