The Moto G85 5G smartphone has been announced in India today. It arrives as the successor to last year’s G84 with significant upgrades. The latest offering from the Lenovo-owned brand has been launched at an aggressive price tag in the country. It already debuted in the global markets last month. The Moto G85 5G boasts a 6.67-inch pOLED 10-bit display with curved edges. It bears an FHD+ resolution and offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness. The screen is integrated with a fingerprint scanner and it’s shielded by Gorilla Glass 5. Design-wise, the phone has a slim profile and it is offered in three color options with a vegan leather back panel. The rear has a squarish camera module that elevates slightly from the back panel.
On the imaging front, the Moto G85 5G features a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with support for OIS. There is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that can also work for macro shots. The smartphone has a 32MP front-facing selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the Moto G85 5G is equipped with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor. It packs up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 30W charging. Software-wise, it ships with Android 14 OS and is eligible for two years of OS upgrades.
The Moto G85 5G is priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. It is offered in Olive Green, Cobalt Blue, and Urban Grey colors. Axis Bank cardholders can avail Rs 1,000 instant discount on the purchase. The smartphone will be available for purchase from Flipkart, offline stores, and the brand’s website starting July 16.
