Recent activity at the Wi-Fi Alliance suggests Samsung is prepping two new entry-level smartphones – the Galaxy F05 and Galaxy M05. These phones would join the existing Galaxy A05 and A05s launched in 2023.

The Wi-Fi Alliance certification listing confirms that both the F05 and M05 will support dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. This is the only technical detail revealed so far. The certification process typically precedes a phone’s official launch, so the appearance of these models suggests an imminent release.

The model numbers for the F05 and M05 are SM-E055F/DS and SM-M055F/DS respectively. The “DS” suffix denotes dual-SIM card functionality, allowing users to have two active lines on the same device.

Beyond Wi-Fi and dual-SIM support, specifics about the F05 and M05 remain unknown. However, based on Samsung’s usual strategy, it’s likely these phones will share similar specifications with the Galaxy A05. So let’s take a quick look at it.

Samsung Galaxy A05 Specifications

So the Galaxy A05 has an Infinity-U display measuring 6.7 inches and an HD+ resolution. It lacks a fingerprint scanner and instead relies on face unlock via the 8MP selfie snapper on the front. The device has a dual rear camera setup of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A05 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is a microSD card slot for additional storage needs. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 25W fast charging. Software-wise, it runs on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 Core out of the box.

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy A05 include 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port. It is offered in Light Green, Black, and Silver colors.
