OnePlus today at its Summer launch event announced its second tablet in the global markets. The company has expanded its portfolio with the OnePlus Pad 2. It arrives as the successor to the last year’s OnePlus Pad. The latest offering retains the same design and packs incremental upgrades compared to its predecessor. The OnePlus Pad 2 is also a rebadged version of the Pad Pro that was released in China last month. 

OnePlus Pad 2 specifications and features

The OnePlus Pad 2 features a 12.9-inch LCD display bearing a resolution of 3,000 x 2,120 pixels. It has a 144Hz refresh rate and a 900 nits peak brightness. It supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision content. The screen is surrounded by symmetrical bezels on all sides. In terms of audio, it is equipped with six speakers with Dolby Atmos for an immersive listening experience.

The OnePlus Pad 2 sports a metal unibody and a circular camera module on the back panel. The tablet comes with a 13MP and 8MP dual rear cameras. There is a 16MP selfie snapper on the front. The device is compatible with a smart folio keyboard as well as a stylus. 

Under the hood, the OnePlus Pad 2 houses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor which is a significant upgrade over its predecessor. It is offered in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations. The device runs on Android 14 OS and packs various productivity-focussed AI features like AI Speak, AI Summarise, AI Writer, and Recording Summary. The brand is also bringing the Open Canvas feature to the tablet from OnePlus Open. The tablet draws its power from a 9,510mAh battery unit with support for 67W charging. 

Connectivity options on the OnePlus Pad 2 include NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi-7, and a USB-C port.

The OnePlus Pad 2 starts at Rs 39,999 for the base model whereas the top-end variant costs Rs 42,999 in India. It starts at $550/€550/£500 in the US, EU, and UK markets. The tablet is offered in Nimbus Grey color.
