Vivo V40 series official teaser

The Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro, co-engineered with ZEISS optics, will launch soon in India. The below image mentions the camera specs of one of the V40 series and reveals that it has a 50-megapixel front-facing camera and a triple camera setup featuring a Sony IMX921 50-megapixel primary camera. A 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel IMX816 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom complement the setup.

Most likely, these specs belong to the Vivo V40 Pro. The device can be seen sporting a curved-edge OLED panel and an oval-shaped camera design with a ring LED flash inside. Recently, the alleged device was spotted in Geekbench’s database with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chip, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 14.

Vivo V40 series’ battery size

The Vivo V40 series will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The company claims that with a thickness of 7.58mm, the V40 series will be the country’s slimmest phone with a 5,500mAh battery. In addition, it appears that both models will offer IP68-rated dust and water resistance.

The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro will both come in shades, such as Titanium Grey and Ganges Blue. The V40 will also come in a Lotus Purple option.

Speculations suggest that the V40 Pro will be a rebranded or tweaked version of China’s Vivo S19 Pro. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered Vivo V40, which is already available in Europe, is a slightly modified version of China’s Vivo S19.
