Vivo and Oppo are both working on their next-generation flagship phones that will feature the Dimensity 9400 chip. For those who don’t know, the D9400, which is expected to debut in October of this year, will be MediaTek’s most powerful chipset. A new leak by tipster Smart Pikachu suggests that the Vivo X200 Pro and the Oppo Find X8 Pro will be the best Dimensity 9400-powered phones for photography even in 2025.
Vivo X200s, X200s Pro may not launch in 2025
Last year, Vivo announced the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chipset in October. Updated versions of these phones with the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro monikers equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ were announced in May in China.

The above leak suggests that Vivo will not launch the Vivo X200s and Vivo X200s Pro smartphones in 2025. According to the tipster, those seeking a Dimensity 9400-powered flagship phone for photography can either opt for the Vivo X200 Pro or the Oppo Find X8 Pro. He added that there will be no better photography-focused Dimensity 9400 phones than these in 2025. Therefore, it appears that the successors of these phones, possibly featuring the Dimensity 9500 chip and arriving at the end of 2025 may offer a better photography experience.
While he did not mention anything significant about the specifications of the Vivo X200 series or the Oppo Find X8 lineup, he revealed that the standard models (X200 and Find X8) will also offer a stellar photography experience as they will come equipped with a periscope telephoto camera. Both devices will also have a glass back and their highest variant will have 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
As per other reports, the X200 Pro may feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a large 2K 120Hz OLED panel with micro-curvature on all four sides and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The X8 Pro, on the other hand, may feature a quad-camera setup equipped with two periscope telephoto cameras.
