AMD has announced a brief delay in the launch of its highly anticipated Ryzen 9000 series processors. This decision comes after the company identified an unspecified quality issue during final product inspections.

The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X will be available on August 8th

In a statement, AMD emphasizes its dedication to providing a high-quality experience for all Ryzen users. They have opted for a cautious approach, working with channel partners to replace the initially produced processors with units that meet their rigorous quality standards. The revised launch schedule sees a staggered release. The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors will now be available on August 8th, while the higher-end Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will launch on August 15th.

While AMD has not disclosed specifics regarding the quality concern, they have assured consumers that additional screening measures have been implemented for future Ryzen 9000 CPUs. This launch delay looks to be aimed towards quality control for the most part.
