Both reveal some key details of the device. The Phantom V Fold 2 is set to arrive as the successor to the last year’s V Fold. However, the exact launch timeline remains a mystery.
Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G bags two new certifications

The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G is listed with model number AE10 on Google Play Console and TUV Rheinland. The former mentions a motherboard codenamed MediaTek MT6983Z/TCZA. The setup comprises of four cores clocked at 1.8GHz, three cores at 2.85GHz, and two cores ticking at 3.2GHz. There is a Mali G710 GPU onboard. This is in line with the Geekbench listing from earlier this year. It suggests that the foldable phone will be equipped with a Dimensity 9000+ chipset. In the benchmarking platform’s single-core and multi-core test results, the device scores 1,273 and 3,844 points respectively.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G is listed with 12GB RAM onboard and we can expect more options at launch. The certification mentions a 2,000 x 2,296 pixels screen resolution and a 480 dpi screen density. It will ship with Android 14 OS out of the box.

Coming to the TUV Rheinland certification, the Phantom V Fold 2 5G is listed with dual battery capacities of 2,973mAh and 2,637mAh. This totals to 5,610mAh unit which is an upgrade over the Phantom V Fold.
