Lava has officially announced a new budget smartphone in its home market of India. The device in question is the new Yuva Star, which is an affordable model that supports 4G connectivity. It also offers a clean UI experience from Android Go, so here’s the rest of the key details.

The company aimed to offer capable specs for budget pricing. The Yuva Star sports a tall 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Meanwhile, the rear houses a 13-megapixel primary shooter and a secondary AI sensor with an LED flash module. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports standard 10W charging via a USB Type-C port.
Under the hood, it is equipped with the UNISOC 9863A SoC that is coupled with a PowerVR GE8322 GPU. Users also get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, the storage can be bumped via a microSD card slot along with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 4GB. Other notable features include a water drop notch, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, and face unlock.
