Google is expected to announce the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold through its upcoming launch on Aug. 13. Google Pixel 9 Pro XL specifications (rumoured)
As per the leak, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will have a 6.8-inch OLEDD panel that offers 2992 x 1344 pixels resolution and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It will be protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL will be powered by the Tensor G4, which will tag along with the M2 security chip. The device will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of storage, and Android 14. Soon after the launch, the device will receive the Android 15 OS upgrade.
For selfies, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will have a 42-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the front. The rear camera setup will comprise a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.68 aperture, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens with an f/1.7 aperture and a 123-degree FOV, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture and 5x optical zoom.
The leak did not share any information about the battery or fast charging capabilities of the Pixel 9 Pro XL. However, as per previous reports, the device will pack a 5,060mAh battery with 45W wired charging. It is also expected to support wireless charging.
Additionally, the Gemini AI on the Pixel 9 XL Pro will offer a range of smart tools. Pixel Studio lets users create unique images with AI, while the AI-powered Weather App provides weather updates along with outfit suggestions. The Reimagine feature allows users to transform objects in photos, and Screenshot Search enables simple retrieval of screenshots using natural language.
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL price (rumored)
The 128 GB and 256 GB variants of the Pixel 9 Pro XL are likely to be priced at $1,099 and $1,199, respectively. Those who purchase the 256 GB variant during pre-orders will have a free storage upgrade to 512 GB.
