According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo’s custom Android skin, ColorOS 15, is set to enter its beta testing phase in late August. The OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 series will be the first to experience the new software.

While the initial beta test will have limited slots, a wider public beta and subsequent full release are anticipated before the year ends. ColorOS 15 is positioned as a major update focused on enhancing user experience and connectivity.

ColorOS 15 Features (Rumored)
The upcoming OS is rumored to include several new features. According to reports, the OS will introduce a separate control center, redesigned floating windows, a custom lock screen, and GPU interpolation technology.
The update is also expected to include improved system animations and a new feature similar to Apple’s Live Photos, which records 1.5 seconds before and after a picture is taken.
Additionally, ColorOS 15 will reportedly introduce an AirDrop-like feature for file transfer between Android and Apple devices, though iOS users will need to install a specific app to use it.
The update is also expected to come with a Dynamic Island-like feature similar to Apple’s with enhanced customization and a more centralized design, potentially integrated with the camera module.
Eligible Smartphones (Expected)
Alongside these two models, the upcoming ColorOS 15 update is expected to be available for various Oppo and OnePlus devices, including the Oppo Find N3, X6, Reno11, and Reno 10 series. It will also be available for OnePlus models such as the OnePlus 11, Ace 3, Ace 3V, Ace 2 Pro, Ace 2, and Ace 2V.
