Honor took the stage at IFA today to launch its latest foldable phone, the Magic V3. Along with this, the company also unveiled the MagicPad 2, a premium tablet that will go head to head against devices like the OnePlus Pad 2 and Galaxy Tab S9. So let’s take a look at what the tablet has to offer.
Honor MagicPad 2 Specifications
Following the trend of the company’s recently announced foldable phone, the MagicPad 2 prioritizes a sleek and portable design. At a mere 5.8mm thin and weighing just 555g, the tablet is quite easy to use and carry.
The centerpiece of the MagicPad 2 is its 12.3-inch OLED display. The panel has a 3K resolution, refreshes at 144Hz, and peaks at 1600 nits of brightness. And for those concerned about eye strain, Honor has included a suite of features like AI Defocus Display, and high-frequency 4320Hz PWM dimming to minimize fatigue during extended use.
The MagicPad 2 isn’t just about visuals, though. The tablet is IMAX Enhanced and DTS audio certified for an immersive audio experience. And there is Honor’s own Spatial Audio Technology which supposedly widens the sound field by 25% compared to the previous MagicPad model.
Under the hood, the MagicPad 2 packs the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset for easy multitasking and reliable gaming. All this is fueled by a large 10,050mAh battery that charges via a 66W adapter.
The software experience comes courtesy of Honor’s new MagicOS 8.0, built on Android 14. The OS comes with a bunch of AI-powered features like “Magic Portal” that allows you to access apps and services across devices with a single action. Additional AI features include voice-to-text conversion, handwriting beautification, and formula recognition.
For optics, you get a 13-megapixel camera on the rear, while the front houses a 9-megapixel selfie shooter. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.3, three microphones, and spatial sound with an eight speaker crossover combination, and Honor Magic Pencil 3 support (sold separately).

Honor MagicPad 2 comes in White and Black colors globally. It is priced at EUR 599 for 12GB + 512GB memory configuration in Europe.
