Huawei held a global launch event today to unveil a range of new wearables and tablets. Among the highlights is the Watch D2, the successor to the well-regarded Watch D which comes with built-in blood pressure monitoring. Here’s what Huawei offers in the new model.
Huawei Watch D2 Specifications
The original Watch D stood out for its ability to measure blood pressure directly using a built-in micropump, providing more accurate readings compared to competitors like the Apple Watch Series 10 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Huawei claims the Watch D2 builds on this success with improved accuracy and a sleeker design. Its standout feature is Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), which enables 24/7 blood pressure tracking.

The Watch D2 includes an inflatable wrist strap similar to traditional blood pressure cuffs for reliable measurements of blood pressure than watches that use optical sensors.
The physical airbag within the cuff can inflate and take readings at set intervals, providing smart reminders throughout the day and tracking sleep measurements at night. It supports various positions—standing, sitting, or semi-lying—and performs automatic internal measurements while you sleep.
The device has received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China and the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) in Europe for a blood-pressure monitoring feature.
Apart from blood pressure, the Watch D2 offers Beat-by-Beat ECG Analysis, SpO2, Heart Rate, Stress Level, and Skin Temperature monitoring powered by Huawei TruSense system. You can also measure nine body indicators with just a single tap and view the result in what’s called a Health Overview report.

The nine indicators include heart rate, blood pressure, SpO2, stress, skin temperature, ECG, vascular elasticity, respiratory health, and sleep breathing awareness. It is also the first Huawei smartwatch to include blood pressure analysis in its Health Overview.
On the front, you get a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with a 2.5D floating design. There’s also support for GPS to view routes directly on the screen. The watch will be available in Black and Gold and comes with a fluoroelastomer strap or a cream leather strap for a stylish look.
Price and Availability
Despite these improvements, the Watch D2 maintains the same price as its predecessor in Europe, launching at €399 (approximately $444). Customers who purchase the wearable from today till October 22nd will get a pair of Huawei FreeBuds 5i for free.
