Honor has officially announced its budget-friendly smartphone, the Honor Play 9C, which is now available for purchase starting at 799 yuan (6GB + 128GB), approximately US$113. The phone also comes in an 8GB + 256GB configuration, priced at 999 yuan (roughly US$142).

Honor Play 9C Specifications and Features:
The Honor Play 9C features a 6.56-inch TFT LCD display with an HD+ (720 x 1612) resolution and supports a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. According to the company, the display reaches a peak brightness of 780 nits, ensuring clear visuals even under direct sunlight.
The affordable phone offers a feature called Smart Capsule, which has a similar implementation to Apple’s Dynamic Island.

Weighing 190 grams and measuring 8.39mm thick, the phone has received the Swiss SGS five-star drop and fall resistance certification, which showcases its durability.
On the rear, the Honor Play 9C is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture), capable of recording 1080p videos. The camera offers several basic photography and videography features such as time-lapse, night scene mode, portrait mode, panoramic photography, dual-view video recording, HDR, smile capture, and more.
