A couple of months ago, Motorola unveiled its latest generation of flip phones. The new lineup consisted of the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. But now, it seems a new budget friendly option might be launching soon carrying the Razr 50s moniker. So let’s check it out.
Motorola Razr 50s: Budget Flip Phone May Launch Soon

The Razr 50s first surfaced online back in September 2024 on the HDR10+ certification. This same model went official later in the same month after going on reservation on Softbank. Thanks to this, the Motorola Razr 50s had its design revealed in three different color options, namely Koala Grey, Sand Cream, and Spritz Orange. So the Razr 50s is already available in the Japanese market, but its global release is still unclear.
But now, the upcoming flip phone has been spotted on the Google Play Console Supported Products List (Via TheTechOutlook). Unfortunately, the online database does not reveal any finer details regarding this phone like its availability, specs, or more. However, it does hint that the global market debut might be right around the corner. The listing confirms that Motorola’s new flip phone carries the ‘aito’ codename, while also confirming the Moto Razr 50s moniker.

The previous Japanese launch gives us an idea regarding the new budget foldable phone. Motorola unveiled the Razr 50s was announced with a 6.9-inch OLED foldable main screen along with a 3.6-inch OLED cover panel. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on the Android 14 OS out of the box and houses a 4,200mAh battery pack. The rear has a 50MP + 13MP dual camera setup, while the front has a 32MP selfie shooter.
