After launching in China earlier this month, Realme has now brought its flagship GT 7 Pro to the Indian market. While we already covered the China launch, there are a couple of changes in core specifications, which makes it worth revisiting.

Realme GT 7 Pro

Display and design

The Realme GT 7 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels. Its whopping 6500-nit peak brightness makes it the brightest smartphone display, ensuring exceptional visibility even in harsh sunlight. Previously the realme GT 6T achieved a peak brightness of 6000 nits. For further context, the Galaxy S24 Ultra reaches peak brightness of 2600 nits and its predecessor reaches 4500 nits.

Interestingly, realme is using Samsung’s Eco² Plus OLED panel for the global markets instead of the BOE panel. The panel also offers 2600 Hz high touch sampling rate, which should be highly beneficial for gaming.

The 120Hz refresh rate and 120% DCI-P3 color gamut promise smooth visuals and vibrant colors, while the 92.8% screen-to-body ratio enhances the immersive viewing experience. Available in Mars Orange and Galaxy Grey, the phone combines sleek aesthetics with practicality, featuring IP69-rated water and dust resistance.

Performance

Under the hood, the GT 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. You can know more about how the chipset compares to its competitors here. Realme GT 7 Pro offers 12GB or 16GB of RAM, with storage options up to 512GB.

Additionally, the phone supports dynamic RAM expansion up to 28GB, ensuring seamless operation even with resource-intensive tasks. All of it is supported by a larger 1,480mm² VC cooling system for improved sustained performance.

Camera

The camera setup is another highlight, led by a 50MP 3x periscope portrait lens with a Sony IMX882 sensor. This is complemented by a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera. The company showcases some impressive results comparing with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which you can see here.

Photography features include Portrait, Night, and even Underwater modes (the phone is IP69 dust and water resistant). Video capabilities are equally impressive, with 8K recording at 24fps, 4K at up to 60fps, and 1080p slow-motion at 240fps.

Battery and charging

The Realme GT 7 Pro is equipped with a 5800mAh battery (down from 6500mAh of the Chinese variant). However it should still offer all day battery life thanks to the efficient 3nm chip. And when it finally needs a recharge, users will be able to connect it to the 120W SuperVOOC fast charging power brick that comes inside the box. According to the company’s tests, the phone can be fully charged in just a “few minutes”, making it ideal for users on the go.

Pricing and availability

The Realme GT 7 Pro is priced at ₹59,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. As part of an introductory offer, this version will be available at ₹56,999, while the 16GB + 512GB model is priced at ₹62,999. The device will go on sale in India starting November 29 and is already available on realme India’s official website for pre-booking with a deposit of Rs 1000.

With its cutting-edge performance and competitive pricing, the Realme GT 7 Pro positions itself as a strong contender in the flagship segment, especially for those seeking a high-performance smartphone capable of handling even the most demanding titles effortlessly, all without breaking the bank.
