Tecno introduced its second-generation foldable smartphones, the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2, globally in September. However, the brand has not yet announced its official launch date for the Indian market. A recent report from 91mobiles, however, provides insights into the potential Indian release timeline for these affordable foldable devices.
As per the report, Tecno is gearing up to launch its second-generation foldable phones in India next month. The Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 are expected to debut in the first week of December, specifically between December 2nd and 6th.
Although the exact specifications for the Indian market have not been confirmed, the device is expected to feature hardware similar to the global variant.
Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G
The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold 2 5G features an aerospace-grade hinge. It has a 7.85″ 2K+ AMOLED internal display and a 6.42″ FHD+ AMOLED external display, both with 120Hz LTPO refresh rates, 1,000,000:1 contrast, and 100% P3 color gamut. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, it offers 24GB RAM (12GB extended) and 512GB storage.
The triple 50MP rear camera setup includes a main sensor with OIS, a portrait lens with 2x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide lens, while dual 32MP front cameras handle selfies. Its 5750mAh battery supports 70W wired and 15W wireless charging. Running HiOS on Android 14 (upgradable to Android 16), the device integrates TECNO’s Ella AI Suite and features Dolby Atmos audio, Wi-Fi 6E, and IP54 dust and water resistance.
TECNO PHANTOM V Flip 2 5G
The TECNO PHANTOM V Flip 2 5G is a sleek flip phone with a double-helical hinge. It features a 6.9″ FHD+ AMOLED internal display with 120Hz LTPO refresh and a 3.64″ AMOLED external screen with customizable features. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity D8020 chipset, it offers 16GB RAM (8GB extended) and 256GB storage. The camera setup includes dual 50MP rear sensors and a 32MP autofocus front camera with PDAF and flash.
Its 4720mAh battery supports 70W wired charging. The device runs HiOS on Android 14, includes TECNO AI tools, and features Dolby Atmos audio and TÜV Blue Light-certified screens. Weighing 196g, it supports dual SIM 5G and comes in Travertine Green and Moondust Grey.
