MediaTek is set to unveil its highly anticipated Dimensity 8400 chipset on December 23, according to tipster Digital Chat Station. With its detailed configuration now revealed, the Dimensity 8400 is expected to deliver a substantial leap in power, making it a notable contender in the midrange segment.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8400 will be built on TSMC’s 4nm process, offering enhanced efficiency and performance. The chipset will feature an innovative CPU configuration with a combination of high-performance cores: 1 Cortex-A725 core clocked at 3.25GHz, 3 Cortex-A725 cores running at 3.0GHz, and 4 Cortex-A725 cores at 2.1GHz. This all-core CPU architecture is designed to deliver robust multitasking capabilities and smooth performance for demanding applications.

In terms of graphics, the Dimensity 8400 will be equipped with the Immortalis G720 MC7 GPU, clocked at 1.3GHz, which promises improved graphics rendering and support for advanced gaming and multimedia experiences.
According to DCS, the chipset is expected to score more than 1.8 million on AnTuTu, a notable leap from the Dimensity 8300 Ultra, which scored 1.4 million on the same platform, as tested on the Poco X6 Pro.
What else to expect from the Redmi Turbo 4 that is set to debut Dimensity 8400?

The device will likely feature a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, providing sharp and vibrant visuals. Additionally, reports suggest that it will support 90W fast charging, which will significantly reduce charging times. In terms of pricing, the Redmi Turbo 4 is expected to be priced between 1,500 Yuan ($205) and 2,000 Yuan ($275), making it an attractive offering for consumers looking for top-tier performance at a competitive price.
In addition to the standard Redmi Turbo 4, Xiaomi may also launch a more premium variant, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. In global markets, these devices could be rebranded as the Poco X7 and Poco F7, respectively.
