OnePlus is expected to unveil the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets, respectively, on Dec. 26 in China. It is speculated that OnePlus may add more devices, such as the Ace 5 Mini and Ace 5V, next year. Speculations also suggest that the brand may also have new models, such as Ace 5s and Ace 5s Pro. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, reveals that OnePlus could be working on a Dimensity 9-series-powered Ace 5 series phone.
Purported OnePlus Ace 5s’ key specifications emerge

Previous leaks from DCS indicate that the OnePlus Ace 5 Mini, set to launch in Q2 2025, will be a compact flagship featuring a 6.31-inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary camera. The new leak states that OnePlus will announce a Dimensity 9-series-powered flagship phone around April 2025. This device is expected to rival upcoming phones, such as the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, and iQOO Z10 Turbo that are expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite (SM8735) chip.
At present, there is no clarity about the name of OnePlus’ Dimensity 9-series phone. Whether the device will feature the existing Dimensity 9300-series chip, the Dimensity 9400, or the upcoming Dimensity 9400+ chipset remains unclear.
Considering it will have a flagship chip. the device is likely to carry the OnePlus Ace 5s branding. As for the Ace 5V, this moniker could be reserved for an upper mid-range phone, as the predecessor, the OnePlus Ace 3V, was equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset.
The new leak reveals that the alleged OnePlus Ace 5s’ current engineering prototype has a 1.5K OLED panel with a flat design and a short-focus in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is also expected to feature a 0809 vibration motor, a plastic middle frame, and a battery of around 7,000mAh.
