Oppo Find series product head Zhou Yibao took to Weibo to solicit user feedback on the upcoming Oppo foldable smartphone. He asked users about the most anticipated upgrades for the next-generation large foldable device. The poll covered various aspects, including lightness, performance, battery life, imaging, wireless charging, and AI features. At the same time, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked key specifications of the Find N5, hinting at exciting developments.
Oppo Find N5 officially teased
A previous poll by the same Oppo executive suggested that the company may have opted for the Oppo Find N5 moniker for its upcoming foldable phone. The options available in the new poll suggest a focus on addressing multiple areas of improvement in Find N5. Users’ responses will likely influence the priorities for the new model, ensuring that the enhancements align with consumer expectations.
Oppo Find N5 key specifications (rumored)
According to DCS, the Oppo Find N5 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 50-megapixel triple camera setup equipped with a periscope telephoto camera, wireless charging, and ColorOS 15. Compared to the Find N3, the N5 will be lighter, thinner, and offer a longer battery life. In terms of durability, it will have an anti-fall construction and IPX8 waterproofing.
A previous leak by DCS revealed that the Find N5 may come equipped with a 5,700mAh battery. However, other leaks suggest that it might have a battery with a capacity of approximately 6,000mAh. Expected to arrive in Q1 2025, the N5 will be the world’s first foldable phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
The company is reportedly developing the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Find X8 Mini, a compact flagship phone, in addition to the Oppo Find N5. These devices are likely to launch in January 2025 in China. Reports suggest that the Find N5 may be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 in some global markets.
