Huawei is preparing to launch its latest smartphone, the Enjoy 70X, on January 3, 2025. This 4G model builds on the Enjoy 70 series and has been featured in both promotional posters and listings on the China Telecom website, revealing key specifications and pricing.

Design and Features

The Huawei Enjoy 70X features a curved-edge display with a centrally aligned punch-hole selfie camera, contrary to earlier reports of a pill-shaped cutout. Its rear includes a circular camera module housing two sensors and a dual-tone LED flash. The device supports Beidou one-click navigation, boasts HarmonyOS 4.3, and includes features like an eye protection screen, long battery life, and five-star drop resistance.

The 50MP RYYB dark light camera is a standout feature, designed for improved low-light photography. The device is expected to be powered by the Kirin 8000A 5G processor, although the 4G branding suggests regional variations in connectivity.

The Enjoy 70X will feature a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and support for 16.7 million colors.

Pricing & availability

The Huawei Enjoy 70X has three storage options:

  • 8GB/128GB priced at CNY 1799 ($246)
  • 8GB/256GB at CNY 1999 ($274)
  • 8GB/512GB at CNY 2299 ($315)

Four color options will be available: Lake Green, Spruce Blue, Snow White, and Golden Black. Initially slated for December 30, 2024, the launch has been rescheduled to January 3, 2025.

In other news, details about the camera system of Huawei’s upcoming photography flagship, the Pura 80 Ultra, have emerged. According to reports, the device will feature a 50 MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor and variable aperture, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a “super-large” periscope zoom lens with a 1/1.3-inch sensor.
