Samsung‘s One UI 7, the company’s upcoming Android 15 skin for Galaxy devices, is set to bring a wave of changes not just in terms of features but also design. These design tweaks are expected to trickle down to the Good Lock app as well, according to a report by Sammy Fans.

The report suggests that Samsung has released version 3.0.10.1 of the Good Lock app, featuring a revamped design aligned with One UI 7’s focus on simplicity and clean layouts.

The most noticeable change is the ditching of the previous icon-heavy design in favor of a more streamlined list view. Additionally, the bottom bar has been enlarged to accommodate three buttons: Terrace, Plugins, and You.

While the new list view should improve scrolling through the app’s offerings, Samsung’s decision to replace clear category separations with color coding might not be a good decision. Users will now need to rely on color cues to determine category changes, potentially introducing an extra layer of mental gymnastics during navigation.

Beyond the aesthetic refresh, the update brings a couple of noteworthy features. First up is “Good Lock Talk,” a search tool that leverages chatbot technology to help users find specific modules within the app. This can be particularly helpful for users unfamiliar with Good Lock’s extensive functionality.

The update also introduces a gift box icon that unlocks a collection of wallpapers. Samsung has further expanded the app’s widget selection with two new options. One is a space-saving 1×1 widget designed to consolidate all Good Lock modules in one place. The other is a more visually appealing 4×2 cassette-style widget that allows users to color-code and quickly access up to four modules.

The stable release of One UI 7, along with the revamped Good Lock app, is expected to coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S25. This means that Galaxy users won’t have to wait long to experience the new user interface and its accompanying customization options.
