Casio has introduced the G-SHOCK MTG-B2000YST-1A, a limited edition watch in the MT-G series, featuring a “Storm Chaser” aesthetic to the Indian market. The watch was launched in the US and European markets back in November 2024.

G-Shock MTG-B2000YST-1A features
The MTG-B2000YST-1A features a rainbow ion-plated bezel, a carbon frame, and a mixed-color resin band designed to reflect stormy skies. The bezel combines blue and silver ion plating to represent changing weather conditions, while its layered carbon and glass fiber construction is designed to resemble lightning streaks. A phosphorescent layer adds a glow-in-the-dark effect to further mimic flashes of lightning.

The watch includes scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating for better visibility. It is water-resistant up to 200 meters, making it suitable for swimming and other water-related activities. Key features include a battery level indicator, countdown timer, and a 24-hour stopwatch, all within a lightweight 104-gram design.

The MTG-B2000YST-1A utilizes solar energy to minimize battery replacements. It also features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to sync the watch with the CASIO WATCHES app for automatic time updates, world time displays, and additional functionalities.
Pricing & availability
The MTG-B2000YST-1A is priced at ₹94,995 (US$1,099) and is available at Casio and G-SHOCK retail stores across India. It is also sold online through Casio’s official website and on Amazon. In the US, the watch costs $1,450.
In other news, Casio Japan has launched the Fine Metallic Series for its G-Shock lineup, featuring the GM-5600 and GM-2100 models. These watches combine stainless-steel bezels with silicone bands. The bezels have polished finishes, and the silicone bands are reinforced for flexibility and resistance to wear.
