Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its next flagship soon. The model in question is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which would also be the photography flagship of the brand. While an official launch date is still unclear, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has had most of its specifications revealed.
The company will unveil the Xiaomi 15 Ultra later this month, with a global launch set after the Chinese Spring Festival. So here’s why you should be excited for this upcoming high-end smartphone.
The Chinese tech giant had launched the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with a premium design that used both glass or eco leather (depending on the variant) along with either aluminum or titanium frame. This meant that you got a top notch design on Xiaomi’s most expensive smartphone.
Based on the recent leaks, we can expect the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra to also offer a similar design. The rear is still expected to offer the large camera module and may offer different variants that offers vegan leather, fiberglass, or even ceramic for a more premium feel. The titanium frame might make a return as well.
2. Cutting Edge Hardware
Another aspect that makes the Xiaomi 15 Ultra special is its cutting edge hardware. The new flagship is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which would make it one of the fastest Android smartphone in the market. A massive 6,000mAh battery pack may power this device, which could also support 90W wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless fast charging.
A significant new feature could be the inclusion of satellite communication. This is a relatively new standard among ultra premium phones and is a feature offered by various brands like Apple, Google, Samsung, and a couple of others. On the front, it may sport a tall 6.7-inch LTPO OLED micro curved display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the real highlight of this device is undoubtedly the cameras.
3. Top-Notch Camera System
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra isn’t simply a fast and gorgeous phone. It is also the brand’s photography flagship as the brand typically places a great focus on cameras on its Ultra models, just like Samsung. The brand will likely continue its collaboration with Leica for the lenses to offer an improved photography experience.
On the rear, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumored to feature a quad camera setup that will include a 50MP one-inch main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with macro capabilities and 4.3x optical zoom.
That’s not all as the 15 Ultra’s Photography Kit was also been certified in China’s 3C certification, which would likely improved the camera’s capabilities even further. This might be Xiaomi’s most advanced camera system till date and likely arrive with various AI powered features.
