In the latest news, Honor has brought old Manchester United photos back to life using its AI upscaling feature. The initiative, showcased through the Honor Magic 7 Pro, celebrates the 115th anniversary of Old Trafford, which is the iconic home of the English football club.
Partnering with Qualcomm, Honor demonstrated how its Photo Upscale feature can breathe new life into historical images, which even reveals details that were once barely visible.
The Magic 7 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and leverages its advanced AI Image Signal Processor (ISP) to enhance old photographs. Judd Heape, Qualcomm’s Vice President, highlighted the chipset’s role in enabling such powerful AI-driven photography features.
Meanwhile, Honor’s Chief Imaging Architect, Wei Luo, emphasized that the technology goes beyond mere photo improvement—it connects people with magical moments from the past, preserving history in stunning clarity.
