LG Electronics has launched the ARTCOOL AI Air, a residential air conditioner equipped with AI Core-Tech to optimize indoor temperature control and energy efficiency. The system learns user habits over time, automatically adjusting airflow strength and direction based on room layouts and occupants’ positions. Users can remotely modify settings via LG’s ThinQ app, and the Sleep Timer+ feature adjusts nighttime temperatures to individual routines for better sleep quality.

The unit features a modern-minimalist design with a black mirror glass exterior and a multi-line grille at the base. The grille’s horizontal bars improve airflow distribution, enabling a 180-degree “wind spread” to ensure gentler airflow.

The air conditioner comes with many energy-saving tools, including the AI kW Manager, accessible through the ThinQ app, which tracks real-time electricity consumption and lets users set usage limits. Sensors further reduce waste: Window Open Detection switches to energy-saving mode if sudden temperature changes occur (e.g., an open window), while the Human Detecting Sensor activates power-saving settings when rooms are empty.

“The ARTCOOL AI Air combines advanced AI with thoughtful design to offer tailored comfort and efficient energy use,” said James Lee, president of LG ES Company.

Pricing and availability details were not disclosed, but the model is positioned as a premium offering.

In other news, LG has launched the PuriCare AeroHit, a compact cylindrical air purifier with an ultra-slim white design. It features an Aero Series H Filter for 360-degree air purification, removing dust, odors, viruses, and pollutants. A PM 1.0 sensor detects ultra-fine particles as small as 0.01 micrometers, offering real-time air quality monitoring.
