Samsung has silently unveiled the Galaxy F16 5G in India. The phone is now listed with all its specifications and features on Samsung India’s website. One of the major highlights of this device is that it not only ships with the latest One UI 7 but also promises six years of Android OS upgrades.
Samsung Galaxy F16 5G specifications and features
The Galaxy F16 5G features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch. The screen offers an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of peak brightness. The phone ships with Android 15 with a layer of One UI 7 on top. It is promised to receive up to six years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The Galaxy F16 5G is equipped with the Dimensity 6300 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. For additional storage, it features a microSD card slot. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
The Galaxy F16 has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It offers other features, such as support for 11 5G bands and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The phone measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 191 grams.
The Galaxy F16 banner available on Flipkart mentions a starting price of Rs 11,499, which is inclusive of offers. Its set to go on sale on March 13.
As per a leak that surfaced in the previous month, the F16’s three variants are expected to cost Rs 13,999, Rs 14,999, and Rs 16,499, respectively.
